Planning & Resource Allocation Section (PRAS)
PRAS supports all aspects of strategic planning and resource allocation including the work of the Planning and Resource Allocation Committee (PRAC), Research Committee, and the associated sub-committees. This includes particular responsibility for:
- Aspects of HEFCE policy and consultations, HEFCE regulatory returns, and the annual Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) funding round.
- Supporting the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) and its successor the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
- Managing the annual planning round; revision of the Strategic Plan, support for the Joint Resource Allocation Advisory Board and for JRAM, Capital Planning (and associated capital project boards), Student Number Planning, Budget Sub-Committee, and facilitation of Reviews of Administrative and Academic Divisions.
- Higher Education Statistics Authority (HESA) Staff Record, and all associated data maintenance and reporting.
