The library is +13, +12, +5 stairs with handrails right and left, from the Junior Common Room and has two double doors. The Hall is accessed from the Quad and is +7 stairs (no handrails). There is flat access into the laundry room but it is -2 stairs through the door opposite to the building that contains the computer room, which is up 17 narrow, winding steps. Although there are no allocated disabled spaces available for students, it is possible that one could be made available. There is a public reserved disabled space in Jowett Walk, 50 yards away. Accommodation: All college accommodation is located on the main site, and students who wish to live on site for the duration of their studies can usually do so. There is a mix of 16th and 17th century houses, and some new accommodation. All rooms have telephone lines, and wired for the internet. A new accommodation block has been built and has ramped access from Mansfield Road through a gate to which all students have the code. This building has four ground floor bedrooms. It is about 50m over smooth paved surface from the Holywell Street gate to the ramped entrance to this new building. Catering: College charges include meals, and care is taken to cater for specific dietary requirements. All meals are taken in a baronial-style dining hall. |
