Biological Anthropology is a graduate department located in North Oxford, about ten minutes from the University Science Area, and twenty minutes walk from the city centre. It houses facilities for students on MSc and DPhil. courses and undergraduates studying Archaeology and Anthropology. Human Sciences, which is an undergraduate Department, is housed on a separate site situated to the rear of the Biological Anthropology building.

Biological Anthropology has no independent access for a wheelchair user. The car park is at the front of the building and has a gravel surface which leads to the main entrance; assistance may be required across the gravel. The entrance is +9 stairs and there is no lift in the building. There is a computer room for classes and a graduate study room (-10 stairs). The library is situated on the ground floor near the entrance, and is not a lending library though students on the MSc and DPhil. courses in Biological Anthropology may borrow books. A tutor room and Common Room are +22 stairs. There are no adapted toilet facilities.

Human Sciences has no independent access for a wheelchair user. The entrance is +1, +4 stairs, with handrails on the left and right at a height of 850mm. The ground floor contains a reading room for the library, and female and male toilets; there are no adapted toilet facilities. The first floor contains the lecture room, kitchen and computer room. They are +13 stairs from the ground floor, with handrails on the right at height 1m; on the left there is a banister at a height of 1000mm. The lecture room has heavy doors and is all on one level.
