The University of Oxford Botanic Garden Website

The Garden is split into 3 sections. The Botanical collection (open air) is displayed within the grade 1 listed walled garden and is all on one level with gravel paths. The Horticultural collection (open air) is also displayed on one level with gravel paths, with one small wooden bridge over the water garden that is inaccessible to wheelchair users. There are plenty of benches spread throughout the Garden to enable visitors to stop and relax.

The Glasshouses make up the third section. Apart from one access to the Alpine House (wheelchair access is from the other opening to the Glasshouse corridor) all entrances and exits are accessible. There is also plenty of room to manoeuvre wheelchairs within the houses.

There is a RADAR disabled toilet for those with Keys and a spare key is kept with the ticket office (March – October) or in the office at all other times.

There is no parking on site, however we do allow cars and mini buses to drop before parking elsewhere. Drivers with a disabled badge are able to park in Rose Lane on the pavement, as long as all entrances and exits are not obstructed.

We have a large print version of our Guide Book available in the Ticket Office for reference when visiting the garden.
