This facility, at present, has no access for an independent wheelchair user. Access into the building is via a minimum of +5 steps. Once inside the building there are no facilities for wheelchair users. There is no signage to and around the site and facility. Two students with a visual impairment and three students with a hearing impairment currently use the facility.

With the opening of the Swimming Pool in October 2003 there will be full wheelchair access to the sports facility including fully operational disabled changing room areas for both wet and dry activities. Some of the existing 'stand alone' facilities will continue to remain difficult to access for wheelchair users but all of the key complex activity areas under the one roof will be accessible.
