Radcliffe Science Library

The entrance is located in the corner between the two main buildings.

It is level access with automatic sliding doors.  Once inside there are swipe card barriers.

For those who are wheelchair users, it is necessary to attract the attention of the staff behind the reception counter who will open the exit gate to allow entrance.

There are two lifts in the Radcliffe Science Library:

1. The main lift is located adjacent to the main entrance and accesses all reading rooms. The lift is a speaking lift and opens out into either a large lobby adjacent to the stair well, or a large ante room before entering the reading room.
2. The second lift is located at the far end of the building featuring the main entrance.  This lift is an awkward triangular shape therefore it may not be suitable for larger wheelchair or mobility scooter users.
3. There is a platform lift (between levels 2 and 3) to allow a wheelchair friendly route via the main lift all the way to lower reading room.

There are 4 accessible toilets found within the Radcliffe Science Library

One located to the left of the main entrance (near the common room/discussion space)

There are also accessible toilets located in the lobby areas for the far stairwell (in the main building) on levels 2, 4 and 6

There are induction loops at enquiry desks.

A portable induction loop is available on request at the Entrance Hall Enquiry Desk.

The training room has an infrared hearing loop installed.
