Taylor Institution Library
Taylor Institution Library is the centre for the study of Modern European languages and literatures, other than English.
This library is partially accessible, the space is somewhat tight in some areas and the shelving is very high (ladders needed).
There is no allocated university parking, although there public blue badge parking on both St Giles and Beaumont street.

The library has two entrances:
Main entrance (not level access) is located on St Giles.
Accessible entrance is also located on St Giles, at the new entry to Ashmolean extension.
Follow the pathway to the Ashmolean entrance and on the left hand side you will see two large black doors and a small doorbell indicating disability assistance.
Ring the bell and a porter will come and open the doors, you will be escorted along a corridor to the entrance of the library.
The library has double doors, one of which is held open. For wheelchair users, it will be necessary to open the other half, the porters lodge is located directly adjacent to the entrance and they will help when required.

There is a fixed hearing loop located at the main enquiries desk (near main reading room).

The Taylor Institute Library has a few areas that are inaccessible.
The shelving is very high and close together.
Most wheelchair users will need assistance, staff will fetch materials accordingly.
The gallery in the Main reading room is inaccessible.
The Main Stack is very narrow and wheelchair users will struggle.
The Graduate Reading room is also inaccessible.
