The Mansion, Court Place Gardens
This property is about 3 miles from the centre of Oxford and lies between Iffley and Rose Hill. It is approached on foot or bicycle from Iffley village and by car from Rivermead Road. There is a regular bus service to the city centre and there is a cycle route via Iffley village. There are a few local shops in Iffley and Rose Hill. This period house contains eleven centrally-heated study bedrooms and has recently been refurbished. In the house there are three bathrooms and a large kitchen. Please note that any new tenancies will only be for 1 year until 31 July 2014. Renewals will not be possible.
Bicycles
There is a lockable cycle shed near the Mansion.
Car Parking
There is an open hard standing car park.
Cleaning
While cleaners are provided in shared accommodation to do a light clean (generally dusk, wipe and hoover) in communal areas, it’s the tenants responsibility to keep these are cleaned at all times to be fair on everyone in the house/premises. This involves cleaning the cooker after each time it is used and the bathrooms, etc. Should this not be done then additional cleaning charges will be made to the entire household and the free cleaning service removed.
Common Room/Study
There is a study room and a common room in the Mansion which can be booked for parties and other gatherings. These are shared with the graduates who live in the houses in the grounds.
Computer Connection
The bedrooms do NOT have a computer connection to the University Network.
Utilities
Utilities are included in the rent.
Furnishing/Equipment
Tenants must provide their own bed linen (including pillows), crockery, cutlery, cooking and household items.
Heating
The Mansion has gas central heating.
Laundry
There is a coin-operated laundry on site. There are three washing machines and three dryers.
