Rental levels

The AVERAGE rents are as follows for:

• studio flat: £450-£550 per calendar month + bills and council tax

• 1-bedroom flat: £550-£600 per calendar month + bills and council tax

• 2-bedroom flat/house: £750 per calendar month + bills and council tax

• 3-bedroom flat/house: £1000 per calendar month + bills and council tax

Full-time students can apply for council tax exemptions

Note that the more central the property is the more expensive it is and rents do vary from the average figures set out above depending on the standard and location of the accommodation.

Short lets tend to be more expensive than long lets. The rent for a short let normally includes the bills (except the telephone) and Council Tax.
