I acknowledge that I have been permitted access to the Oracle Student System on the understanding that I will process personal data in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. I confirm that I:

• will only access and use personal data as necessary for the role for which I have been authorised;
• will only access and use personal data for purposes directly connected with the collegiate University’s student administration;
• will not share personal data from the system, whether in electronic or printed form, with any other person unless authorised to do so by the Information Custodian;
• will not release my access password to any other person; and
• will retain any personal data saved from the system (whether in electronic or printed form) in a secure and confidential manner and will only hold that data for as long as I need to for student administration purposes.
  

I have read and understood the University's Data Protection policy, the Regulations relating to the use of IT facilities and the OSS Rules for Access. I am aware that failure to comply with the provisions of the Data Protection Act may render the University, or in certain circumstances myself, liable to prosecution as well as giving rise to civil liabilities.
