The CUREC website is updated regularly to reflect current practice and changes in legislation. The table below shows the major changes made since February 2008.

February 2013	CUREC/1 amended and CUREC/3 added along with guidelines for CUREC3, to allow for research involving administration of licensed drugs or other substances to participants in the EU.
September 2012	FAQ B5 about projects conducted jointly between two or more universities added.
September 2012	FAQ C1 about inability to access the CUREC forms amended to note a change in the way in which restricted content is accessed, enabling access to 'oxonly' pages to University staff and students with a single sign-on username and password. Revised versions of CUREC/1 and CUREC/1A checklists added (minor changes).
May 2012	Links to the NRES website updated (http://www.nres.nhs.uk/). Description of OXTREC application process amended following introduction of online application process, OXTREAD.
April 2012	Revised version of protocol P8 added (for studies involving magnetoencephalographic (MEG) recordings from adult volunteers). Note added to question C5 of CUREC/1 checklist.
March 2012	FAQs reorganised and consequential changes made to other documentation.
February 2012	Revised version of protocol P17 added (for non-invasive magnetic resonance investigations in healthy volunteers). Revised version of CUREC/1A added. Appeal procedure added.
January 2012	Revised versions of CUREC/1 and CUREC/1A checklists added. Page on OXTREC guidance and forms added and links to OXTREC updated. Protocol P20.1 added. Guidelines 5.1 added.
August 2011	Protocol P19.1 and revised version of CUREC/1 added. Contact details updated.
May 2011	Information on the research ethics library held by the Department of Social Policy and Intervention added to the 'Find out more' page.
April 2011	Revised version of CUREC/1 checklist added. Contact information for the Research Ethics Committee in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention amended. Glossary definitions of 'invasive procedure (class A)' and 'invasive procedure (class B)' amended and definition of 'relevant material' added.
March 2011	Revised version of CUREC/1A checklist added. Protocols grouped according to subject matter. Updated policy added.
February 2011	Protocols P17.1 and P18.1 added.
October 2010	Student thesis sample text and FAQ concerning guidance available on the content of participant information and consent forms added.
March 2010	CUREC/1A checklist for staff and student researchers primarily in the Social Sciences and Humanities added. FAQ added (Who can use the CUREC/1A checklist?).
February 2010	Sample opt-out form for use in connection with research in schools and film consent form for use when a research participant is being filmed for public television added. FAQ concerning audit revised.
January 2010	Protocol P16.1 and Guideline 4.1 added. FAQ added (I am a PGCE student. What ethical procedures do I need to follow?). Glossary amended.
December 2009	CUREC/1B checklist for PGCE students added.

May 2009	Protocol SSD/IDREC/2009/P15.1 added.
May 2009	Guidelines for researchers interviewing people in their homes added.
January 2009	Protocols SSH/IDREC/2008/P13.1 and P14.1 added. Title of Protocol P2.1 amended and a note added to indicate that applications using this protocol should now be submitted to the MS IDREC.
October 2008	FAQ added (I am away from Oxford and cannot access the forms and protocols on the CUREC website.). Formatting changes made to Protocol P2.1 (renamed P2.1.1).
July 2008	CUREC/1 amended in Section H to indicate where lack of informed consent is sanctioned by the relevant Code of Practice (and CUREC/2 updated to amend FAQ numbering). Glossary updated to include 'financial or other rewards'.
June 2008	Two protocols approved with effect from 1 June 2008 added. FAQ added (For how long is approval granted?).
June 2008	Two protocols approved with effect from 1 June 2008 added. Prefacing text to the protocols page amended. Footnote clarifying jurisdiction added to the information on the Mental Capacity Act.
June 2008	Contact details for Secretary of Medical Sciences IDREC changed.
April 2008	FAQ added (How soon will I hear whether my research project has approval?).
February 2008	Information on Mental Capacity Act added, CUREC/1 and CUREC/2 forms amended, some glossary terms revised. Changes to the approval process made: if the CUREC/1 form does not indicate the need for the completion of a CUREC/2 form or for the use of the NHS or OXTREC application procedure, send your checklist to the appropriate IDREC officer and wait for written confirmation that your research project can start. Protocols MSD/IDREC/2008/P7.1 and P8.1 added.
