Current Elections: Trinity Term 2010Of the 87 vacancies advertised for election on 10 June 2010, 13 are contested; 60 are uncontested; and 14 lapsed. Details of appointments to lapsed vacancies will be published in due course. The results of the contested elections are now available: Council (Humanities & Soc Sci) Council (one member of congregation) Curators of the University Libraries Medical Sciences Board (Clinical Med) Medical Sciences Board (not Clinical Med) The following elections were uncontested and the persons nominated deemed elected as of 13 May 2010: Nominating Committee for the Vice-Chancellorship Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Board Board of the Faculty of Classics Board of the Faculty of English Language and Literature Board of the Faculty of History Board of the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology, and Phonetics Board of the Faculty of Oriental Studies The following vacancies have lapsed: Nominations Committee Two persons appointed by Council either (i) from among those current members of Council nominated by Council and approved by Congregation who are not when they are nominated members of Congregation or resident holders of teaching, research, or administrative posts in the University or in any college, society, or Permanent Private Hall or (ii) from among former members of Council falling within this same category, one to hold office until MT 2011 and one to hold office until MT 2013. Board of the Faculty of Philosophy Four persons elected by and from among the members of the Faculty of Philosophy to hold office until MT 2012. Board of the Faculty of Theology Three official members elected by all members of the faculty and from the persons qualified to be Official Members as per Regulation 19.7 to hold office until MT 2012. Five ordinary members elected by and from all members of the faculty exclusive of the persons qualified to be Official Members as per Regulation 19.7 to hold office until MT 2012. |
