We are required by the Equality Act 2010 to make 'reasonable adjustments' where an employee has a disability and suffers a substantial disadvantage compared with a non-disabled employee.  We have a duty  to take reasonable steps to prevent a provision, criteria or practice  or physical features of the premises having that effect. 

 We encourage individuals and managers to be flexible and creative in identifying arrangements that meet the needs of the individual and the department.
