New apprenticeship opportunities in Facilities Management

The Estates Services FM team is recruiting into a new FM apprenticeship programme developed in conjunction with Abingdon & Witney College.

The team is seeking eight apprentices for an initial 12-month period, during which they will complete a City & Guilds NVQ level 2 in Facilities Management Services and Principles. Apprentices will have the opportunity to work across key areas of FM work including general facilities support, facilities and event management, and mail services, helping to deliver a variety of practical and operational support services, such as setting up for meetings, receiving deliveries, and basic maintenance. They will also be working in some of Oxford’s most iconic buildings.

Deputy Head of Strategic FM, Lisa Hofen said: ‘We are extremely proud and excited to be launching this new programme and as a measure our commitment, some of our own FM managers have been qualified as assessors in order to support its delivery. This opportunity to train and develop our teams for the future is critical to delivering professional FM services for the University.’

For more information about the programme, contact Lisa Hofen or to apply, visit the University jobs page. Applications will close at noon on 12 September. For more information about becoming an apprentice at the University visit www.apprenticeships.ox.ac.uk
