Property Data
All functional buildings, built and unbuilt, are allocated a unique building number. The numbers are allocated by the Information Management Team (IMT) and a register is maintained through the space management database. The numbers are used throughout the University, not only for Estates Services records, but for various purposes such as logging repairs and maintenance requests and recording asset information.
IMT maintains a large amount of data against each property for Estates Services and University use, and for reporting to third parties. Much of this data is in the process of being linked to the space management database. This includes:
- University recognised building names
- Location and registered address
- Ownership, including summaries of lease information and Land Registry entries
- Repairing and other liabilities
- Building areas
- Drawings
- Photographs
- Planning records (including listed building information)
- Record information of design and construction
Historic data is also held by the University Archivist and the IMT works closely with the archivist to provide historic information and access original property deeds etc.
If information is required on a particular property please contact the IMT or request the information via FacilityNet.
