Wolvercote Paper Mill goes on the market

The University has instructed Savills to offer Wolvercote Paper Mill for sale. Extending to 16.8 acres, including a significant area of woodland as well as previously developed land, the property, located to the north of Oxford, has been allocated for housing-led development.

Oxford City Council has resolved to grant outline planning permission for up to 190 new homes, which represents the largest residential development site within the Oxford ring road to come to the market for many years.

An application was submitted to the Local Planning Authority in summer 2013 after extensive consultation by the University with local residents and community groups, including a two-day exhibition in the village with different focus groups tackling topics including design, transport and ecology. Updated plans were submitted in summer 2015, responding to the outcome of formal post application consultation undertaken by the City Council.
