Hoardings celebrate Physics in Parks Road

An 85-metre stretch of graphics celebrating the work of the Physics Department have gone up along Parks Road.

The visuals, created by the Estates Services communications team working with the University’s design studio, decorate the hoardings around the construction site for the Physics Department’s Beecroft Building.

The new building, the department’s first in 50 years, will provide world-class facilities for experimental and theoretical physics. The building work is due to complete by the end of 2017.

The panels give an overview of the history of physics as a subject at the University, before taking a look at the work and scale of the department’s scientists.
