Lisa Hofen joins board of FM professional association

Lisa Hofen, Deputy Head of Strategic FM in Estates Services, has been elected to the board of the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) as a non-executive director.

She was voted onto the board alongside two other senior FM professionals – Lucy Black of the University of Plymouth and Michael Kenny of FES FM Ltd – after a call for nominations and members’ ballot. The three will take up their posts at the first board meeting after the Institute’s annual general meeting, which takes place on 6 July. The appointments last for three years;  over this period, Lisa will attend regular board meetings to discuss the BIFM’s management and strategic direction.  The British Institute of Facilities Management has over 15,000 FM professionals within their membership.

‘Between them, Lucy, Lisa and Michael have more than 70 years’ experience in facilities management, bringing a wealth of skills and experience to their non-executive director roles,’ said BIFM Chairman Stephen Roots. ‘I’m delighted to welcome them to the Board and look forward to seeing the valuable contribution they will no doubt make in helping to drive BIFM forward during their tenure.’
