Jordan Morris of the University Print Studio has been named Oxfordshire Apprentice Ambassador of the Year in recognition of the exceptional commitment she has shown to the apprentice ambassador scheme.

The awards took place last week at Jury’s Inn, and honoured the achievements of apprentices from all over the county in a wide variety of industries and disciplines.

Melanie Ringer of OxLEP Skills nominated Jordan for the award, in recognition of the strong commitment she has demonstrated. ‘She has pushed herself outside of her comfort zone, engaging in public speaking and networking events and building on those skills as part of her development,’ Melanie commented.

Jordan joined the Print Studio in November 2016 as part of her apprenticeship in Print Production; after completing on-site assessments, producing a course portfolio and passing technical exams she is now employed on a permanent basis as Print Studio Assistant. Away from her day job, she does huge amounts of work with the local community to promote apprenticeships through the ambassador programme.

She previously received the First Year Apprentice of the Year award by the University Apprenticeship team, and played an important part in the Print Studio receiving the Apprenticeship Manager’s Special Award at the University of Oxford Apprenticeships Awards in March.
