How do I get a University Card?

Students

  • Incoming undergraduate students will be sent the University Card form by their college. You must complete the form and return it to your college administrator. University Cards will be available for collection from the college administrator when you arrive.
  • Incoming graduate students will be sent the University Card form by their department. You must complete the form and send it to: AC Returns, University Offices, Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JD. University Cards will be available for collection from your college administrator. If you do not have a college, your card will be available from your department administrator when you arrive.
  • Visiting students and matriculated non-award students will be sent the University Card application form by their college. You must complete the form and return it to your college administrator. University Cards will be available for collection from the college administrator when you arrive.
  • Recognised students will be sent the University Student Contract by their department, which contains the University Card application form. You must complete the form and send it to: Student Information, Examination Schools, High Street, Oxford OX1 4BG. University Cards will be available for collection from Student Information when you arrive.

If you notice that your University Card holds incorrect details, contact your college or departmental administrator who will arrange for it to be amended.

Staff and visitors in colleges and departments

Your college or department administrator will provide you with a University Card application form. Your administrator will send your completed form to the University Card Office once it has been authorised. You will be able to collect your University Card from your administrator once your application form has been processed by the Card Office.

Cards can show an affiliation to one college and one department as a maximum. Secondary email addresses must be applied for. The IT Officer of the college/department that has not made the original card application must liaise directly with IT Services to request the additional email address.
