Building Drawings

The Information Management Team (IMT) holds general arrangement plans of the University functional estate. These drawings are maintained as computer aided design (CAD) drawings. These are used to assist designers and contractors working on projects, as a base for the space management database and as records of the estate.

Authorised University members can access and view space data, including simple floor plan drawings. If more accurate floor plans (produced to scale) or drawings showing other space information are required in paper or electronic form then please use the online Request Drawings form to specify your requirements.

CAD layering conventions

The IMT is in the process of revising Estates Services CAD standard and aims to bring all drawings into conformity with this standard. Part of this process is to bring all drawings to the same layering convention.

Drawings received or produced by Estates Services are expected to comply with the current  IMT CAD Layering Convention. This includes drawings of project work authorised by Estates Services and undertaken directly by departments.
