Space Charging
Space in University buildings is subject to two annual charges: a capital charge and a space-related infrastructure charge. These annual charges are determined by the Planning and Resource Allocation Section (PRAS) and Finance Division using area data supplied by Estates Services. Departments are charged out through the JRAM process.
The Information Management Team (IMT) provides area data to PRAS to calculate the above charges, based on the information held in the space management database and applying future moves and changes.
Departments are encouraged to check their space data regularly and notify IMT of any inaccuracies, which allows the space charges to be calculated correctly.
