Buildings Insurance
The University arranges insurance protection for its buildings against fire, impact from aircraft, explosion, riot, and civil commotion, malicious damage, impact from vehicle, earthquake, storm, flood and burst water pipes.
Cover is arranged through the University's Insurance Team in liaison with the Estates Services.
All due security precautions should be taken at all times, as advised by Oxford University Security Services and the Insurance Team.
Claims are made on a reinstatement basis (i.e. there is no allowance for betterment) subject to a policy excess of £2,000. Claims are settled to the claiming department net of this amount.
