Verify Departmental Equipment List
- Check that the updated latest Departmental Equipment List (DEL) shows all assets currently owned by the department following your adjustments.
- Check that any additions, disposals, thefts or reassignments of assets are reflected.
- Report any amendments using the Asset Disposal/Amendment/Impairment Form

Ensure adequate asset stewardship
- Ensure all assets are kept in a secure location at all times.
- Ensure all assets are adequately maintained to the extent that they continue to function as intended.
- Maintain a list of all assets outside University premises; annually obtain written confirmation from the asset assignee that the items remain in their possession.
- Undertake physical verification of all equipment assets on a five-year rolling basis.
- Notify the Fixed Asset Accountant if there are any changes in the status of an asset.
