Review and adjust monthly additions listing

Verify Departmental Equipment List

  • Check that the updated latest Departmental Equipment List (DEL) shows all assets currently owned by the department following your adjustments.
  • Check that any additions, disposals, thefts or reassignments of assets are reflected.
  • Report any amendments using the Asset Disposal/Amendment/Impairment Form (142kb) .

Ensure adequate asset stewardship

  • Ensure all assets are kept in a secure location at all times.
  • Ensure all assets are adequately maintained to the extent that they continue to function as intended.
  • Maintain a list of all assets outside University premises; annually obtain written confirmation from the asset assignee that the items remain in their possession.
  • Undertake physical verification of all equipment assets on a five-year rolling basis.
  • Notify the Fixed Asset Accountant if there are any changes in the status of an asset.
