Depending on the level of expenditure involved, there is a varying requirement for the Purchasing team's involvement, the need for tenders, or the number of quotations to be obtained.

All equipment transactions over £25k must be recorded as an asset on the University's Fixed Asset Register.

Tenders

For purchases over £100k the tender process is managed by the Purchasing team. For further information on the tender process contact a member of the Purchasing team.

For purchases between £25k and £100k departments can either run their own tender or contact the Purchasing team for assistance.

Quotations

For purchases under £25k refer to the purchasing thresholds.
