Research
Research Accounts is responsible for raising claims, invoices and statements to research customers, and for managing research debt. The team also sets up and amends research awards on the grants module of Oracle Financials, and is responsible for all internal and external reporting on the financial aspects of research.
Research income in 2010/11 was over £376m. There are several thousand research projects in operation at any one time, funded by over 750 customers. The team works closely with departmental finance officers and administrators, and with Research Support, which is responsible for managing pre-award activities with departments.
