Working at Security Services

Everyone who works at Security Services is passionate about maintaining a safe and secure physical environment for the University community.

Our team is responsible for monitoring an extensive CCTV network, alarms for 160 buildings including intruder, fire and personal attack, and environmental alarms and much more.

Our employees provide a wide range of skilled services including crime reduction advice to improve the personal safety of staff and students and their property, crime prevention design advice to improve the security of all buildings and sites, as well as personnel security (vetting and screening) providing assurance as to the trustworthiness, identity, integrity and reliability of employees, visitors, contractors and temporary staff. 

We also have an important and high profile role to play in some of the most important events and ceremonial occasions in the University calendar, including the annual Encaenia ceremony, and provide security for VIP and royal visits.
