Non-employees
The term ‘non-employees’ is used in this instance to describe individuals who are not paid through the University’s payroll facilities.
This group includes:
- agency workers
- work experience students
- academic visitors, and
- self-employed contractors or consultants.
Please note that if you wish to make a subsistence payment to an academic visitor, you should first consult the Payments Manual.
