What are the entry qualifications?
You will require a minimum of four GCSE passes at grade C or above, including Mathematics. You will need to demonstrate an interest in your intended field of work and a good record from your school or employer.
How long will the apprenticeship take?
The apprenticeship lasts 3 years. The work is demanding and will need a continuous commitment from you. You will keep a portfolio of work completed during your advanced level apprenticeship.
Is an advanced level apprenticeship a recognised qualification?
Yes. The exact certificates gained will depend on the type of apprenticeship, but a typical apprenticeship could include NVQ2, NVQ3 and a BTEC National Certificate in your chosen subject (NVQ means National Vocational Qualification and is based on skills demonstrated in the workplace).
What advanced apprenticeships are typically available?
The apprenticeship openings are different each year, depending on the needs of the University's departments. Recent apprenticeships have included:

- Building Services technician (construction maintenance)
