Staff development

The Oxford Learning Institute provides a wide range of training courses for University employees to assist them in the development of their careers. Further information can be found on their website.

Personal Development and Review Scheme (PDR)

The PDR scheme seeks to support the twin aims of providing all staff with the opportunity to develop their potential, and enhance their contribution to the work of the University. The scheme does this by providing a framework for regular structured discussions between staff and their line manager. The annual PDR discussion is an opportunity to review roles and responsibilities, to gain feedback, to identify objectives and priorities for the coming year, and to consider the development needs of staff.

UAS Personnel have devised two forms, based on the University-wide templates, to support managers in conducting PDRs. These forms can be adapted by departments if required.
