Knowledge Exchange/Public & Industry Engagement Schemes

Looking for funding for Knowledge Exchange (KE) activities? For example, for projects involving public and cultural engagement, policy and practice engagement or university-business links?

This page contains links to a wide variety of funding opportunities that may be of interest to colleagues at Oxford. Granting bodies use many different terms for 'KE', engagement and industrial collaboration, so one needs to think laterally. Many of the major research funders invite you to include requests for funding for 'KE and impact' as part of regular/mainstream research grants. So, wherever applicable, include the costs of these activities as part of your overall research programme or project.

Please remember that you should liaise with your Departmental Administrator when costing and preparing a grant application and that all applications for external research funding must first be approved by the relevant Head of Department and then (except for applications for less than £20k with no associated staff costs) endorsed on behalf of the University by Research Services, before they can be submitted to the sponsor.

Please submit grant applications to Research Services at least 5 working days before the sponsor’s deadline.
