Fire Safety Training
Course Details
This course is run on request
The University is required under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2006 to train as many staff members as possible on how to use the types of fire extinguishers provided in their place of work.
Short fire safety courses lasting approximately 2 hours can be provided by the University Safety Office.
The course is presented by the University Fire Officer and comprises a short talk and video, followed (under supervision) by a practical session using fire extinguishers on controlled fires.
There is no charge for these courses, which are held at or near your department.
