Memo 7/12: Meeting (followed by lunch) of departmental and unit safety officers

Centenary Seminar Room, Careers Service, 56 Banbury Road

There will be a meeting of departmental, unit and area safety officers in the Centenary Room, Careers Service, on Thursday 26 July 2012, from 11.30. Lunch will be available after the meeting and it is hoped that you will be able to attend.

Topics for discussion will include the following University Policy Statements and Memoranda, which have been recently, or are soon to be, published:

(a) Management of work with ionising radiation at the University of Oxford

(b) Accident, incident and near miss reporting

(c) Work with asbestos

(d) Automatic External Defibrillators (AED)

In addition, the Director of the Safety Office will provide an update on the following issues;

(e) Dissemination of information from the Safety Office

(f) HSE future inspection regime and fees for intervention
