Biological Safety
This section sets out the University's Biorisk Management Policy, which includes the biosafety and biosecurity measures that must be implemented by department and supervisors to ensure the safety of all laboratory workers and the effective use, containment, and subsequent safe disposal of biological agents regardless of hazards posed.
It also includes more practical guidance for individuals to work safely and effectively in the laboratory, and provides advice on how to comply with the various sets of legislation, not all of which may be immediately obvious, that affect laboratory and field research with biological agents.
