Routine testing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems
The testing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems is a departmental responsibility.
The head of department must nominate a responsible person to supervise or effect through a competent outside contractor the maintenance and testing of the emergency lighting system as required in BS 5266: Part 1: 1999.
NB Any outside contractor nominated for such work must be approved by the University Estates Services.
