21.1. The Committee on Honorary Degrees shall, after consultation with Council on proposed names, take decisions on names to be put to Congregation for the conferral of Honorary Degrees. The committee shall consist of the Vice-Chancellor, the Assessor, together with not more than six members of Council and up to three other members of Congregation not on Council, all appointed by Council, the period of appointment to be one year renewable for a maximum of four years.
