Fees and Living Costs

Find out about the cost of University fees, college fees, living costs, and information on determining your fee status. A Fees Calculator is available to help new entrants determine the amount you are liable to pay. This section also has information about the College Financial Guarantee for Graduates, which all graduate students have to complete to provide proof of being able to finance the cost of your course and living expenses.

23/01/10: Deadline for scholarship applications for 2010-11 has now passed. If you did not submit a complete graduate application and apply for Central Scholarships by 22 January 2010, it is now too late to apply. You may wish to look at college and departmental awards which are still open, through the Oxford Funding Search.

05/01/10: Graduate Living Costs for 2010-11. The amount that Oxford graduate students are expected to need to pay for their living costs for the 2010-11 academic year has now been confirmed.

05/01/10: Study Abroad. The deadline for applications for study abroad scholarships is 5th February 2010.

02/12/09: HSMP/ILR changes. Students who have recently been granted ILR/permanent residency in the UK following the judicial review of changes to the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) may qualify for a change in fee status. Email fees.clerk@admin.ox.ac.uk for more information.

04/11/09: NEW 20 NOVEMBER 2009 DEADLINE ADDED FOR BBSRC DOCTORAL TRAINING GRANT STUDENTSHIPS IN MOLECULAR BIOCHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL BIOLOGY. The second competition closing date is on 8 January 2010. See the Biochemistry website for more information.

23/10/09: Clarendon Fund website goes live! A new Clarendon Fund website has been launched to provide a single point of information for prospective applicants, current scholars and the 500+ Clarendon alumni around the world. Full information about the scholarship and how to apply can now be found on this website.
