Talentia Scholarship Programme

Overview

The Talentia Programme aims to create a new generation of bilingual Andalusian graduates by enabling outstanding graduates to study at the world's best universities

Nationality

You must be a resident or have been born in the Andalusia region of Spain and be a citizen of a European Union member state. If you are a Spanish citizen residing abroad, your last residence in Spain should have been in Andalusia

Other criteria

You should have obtained a university degree at an Andalusian university

You should have worked in a company with registered address in Andalusia during the year prior to your application

Graduate courses

Subject

Subjects related to Science, Technology, Biomedicine, Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences and Business

Duration

Minimum of 1 year and maximum of 2 years

Type of student

Students starting a new course or currently enrolled on a postgraduate course

Value

University and college fees; up to 6,500 euros per term for living expenses; transfer to and from your home town and Oxford

Number

200 scholarships in total are available for 2008. A small proportion of these will be available for study at Oxford.

Other information

All Scholarship awardees should promise to return to Andalusia on completion of their studies in order to continue their career there for at least four years.

The Talentia Programme also offers a training and advice programme for its scholars, and runs a Back to Andalusia Programme. This provides assistance to scholarship graduates in joining the Andalusian job market and helps scholars to launch start-ups in essential sectors to Andalusia's economic development.

The Talentia Scholarship Programme is run by the Regional Government of Andalusia. The Programme is:

  • devoted to the pursuit of excellence in all academic discipline,
  • committed to strengthen the international competence of human capital in Andalusia
  • intended to enhance the social and economic development of Andalusia
