UK China Scholarships for Excellence

Overview

The Scholarships for Excellence scheme aims to enable outstanding doctoral students from the UK and China to study in each other's country. It supports students at many of the UK's strongest research universities

Nationality

Chinese (mainland China)

Other criteria

Must be studying at a recognised top Chinese University. Chinese students already studying in the UK are not eligible to apply

DPhil

Subject

Science and technology related subjects

Duration

Awards are made for the full duration of a student's fee liability for the agreed course (subject to an annual renewal process based on a review of their academic progress and their funding position)

Type of student

Students accepted to start a graduate course at Oxford in 2010/11

Value

Awards cover University and college fees and provide a grant for living expenses (£11,500 p/a in 2009/10).
