- Oxfordshire Drug and Alcohol Addition Team (DAAT) - Oxfordshire DAAT works closely with a number of statutory and voluntary agencies both within the county and outside to fulfil the Government's drug and alcohol strategies including the County and District Councils' community safety teams. This websites shows how each District has its own action plan detailing how they deal with local drug issues.
- Alcohol Concern - This national agency provides the latest news, recent press releases, and works to reduce the incidence and costs of alcohol-related harm by increasing the range and quality of services available to people with alcohol-related problems. This website includes links to programmes such as ‘Down your Drink’.
- Alcoholics Anonymous - This website provides information for newcomers and available meetings, alongside general, professional and media information.
- Al-Anon Family Groups UK & Eire - Al-Anon offers understanding and support for relatives and friends of problem drinkers, whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not. Alateen is a part of Al-Anon for young people (12-20 years) who have been affected by someone else’s drinking (usually a parent).
- Drinkline - 0800 917 8282 (freephone). Drinkline provides information and help to callers who have concerns about themselves or family and friends.
- Health & Safety Executive - This gives key messages and information about responsibilities in relation to health and safety law for alcohol and drugs misuse.
- NHS Direct - Follow link from ‘Find out about illnesses, operations, tests and treatments’ to the online health encyclopaedia relating to ‘Alcohol Misuse’ or ‘Drug Misuse’.
- Turning Point - This is one of the UK’s largest social care organisation. It provides Drug and Alcohol services for those with complex social care needs including advice, education and support services with information regarding Governmental policies and information resources/links.
- Talk to Frank - This is the National Drugs Helpline that is open 24 hours per day providing free confidential drugs information and advice.
- Cranstoun - The Oxfordshire Council on Alcohol and Drugs Use is a registered charity (not NHS or local authority) that provides free and confidential support regarding drug misuse.
- Narcotics Anonymous - This organisation is for those who think they have a drug problem, and for recovering addicts, alongside support for professionals working with addicts.
