Staff Counselling
Confidential counselling is available for University employees experiencing work-related problems. Individuals may refer themselves or, with their consent, be referred by their manager to the Occupational Health Service. They will be seen initially by one of the the Occupational Health Advisers to discuss whether counselling is appropriate.
This counselling service operates on a completely confidential basis between the counsellor and the employee. Departments, managers, Personnel Services and Occupational Health staff do not have any access to the counsellor’s notes. Information about individuals held by Occupational Health is always confidential unless the individual concerned has given written consent otherwise. This staff counselling service is separate from the University's Student Counselling Service.
