The building itself has no allocated parking spaces, but Blue Badge holders should be able to find space in Wellington Square or on Beaumont Street.  The nearest parking for those without Blue Badges will be the Pay and Display on St Giles.

The main entrance has both steps and a ramp.  The steps have handrails on both sides but no nosings.  The ramp is on the right hand side of the entrance, and has a railing on the left hand side. The entrance doors are large glass double doors, but are powered.  There is no intercom, but the reception desk is always manned when the building is open, and staff will open the door for you.

To reach the lift from reception, go through the door on left hand side of the reception desk, through the next door, and the lift will be on your left hand side.  These doors can be quite tricky to navigate because they are close together, but both have vision panels, and the reception staff are happy to help.  The lift itself has very bright lighting and an announcement system.

Accessible toilets

+ more

There are two accessible toilets in the building, one on the ground floor and on the lower ground floor.  To reach the ground floor toilet, go through the first door on the left hand side of reception.  Instead of heading towards the lift, follow the long corridor past the library and reading room.  Go around the corner to the left, and the toilet will be on your left hand side.

To reach the lower ground floor toilet, pass through the door on the right hand side of the dining room, then turn right and then immediately left (the toilet will then be on your left).  Alternatively, you can go through the Acland Room, then follow the corridor straight on through one door and turn left through another.  Unfortunately, both of these routes have three manual doors on them.  At busy times, the route through the Acland Room will be easier, as tables can make access to the dining room door difficult.

Standard Toilets

+ more

There are standard toilet blocks on both the lower ground and ground floors.  On the lower ground floor they are between teaching room 018 and the Common Room, and also by the entrance to the Dining Room (from the courtyard).  On the ground floor, they are next to teaching room 113 (near the library).  All of these toilet blocks have seperate Men's and Women's facilities.
