The University of Oxford held two public information events on Friday 27 February and Saturday 28 February to update the community and interested parties on a revised illustrative scheme for the Wolvercote Paper Mill site.

Wolvercote Paper Mill ceased operations in 1997 and the University of Oxford’s intention is to sell the site. The University submitted a planning application for outline planning permission in 2013 for the residential development of the site about which the local community was consulted both on the pre-application submission by the University and then by Oxford City Council post submission.

The University has held meetings with members and officers of the City and County Councils as well as the Wolvercote Commoners and Neighbourhood Forum, Thames Water and the Environment Agency in an effort to enable the University to understand key areas of concern identified as part of the application consultation and to review them.

The University has now produced a revised illustrative scheme and further technical information on the key aspects.
