Precision Cancer Medicine Institute (PCMI) Public Consultation

The University of Oxford has held two public consultation events on 17 and 18 July on proposals to develop a Precision Cancer Medicine Institute (PCMI) building at the Churchill Hospital site, south of Roosevelt Road, Oxford.

The proposed building will house a proton beam therapy unit along with other research and medical facilities. This new form of treatment, along with the proposals, is explained further in the public consultation event materials which can be accessed here: Precision Cancer Medicine Institute Information Boards (15,432kb) .

A planning application is expected to be submitted to Oxford City Council to take forward the development of the PCMI, a four storey clinical research facility, in autumn 2015.

We welcome feedback on the proposals prior to the University submitting a planning application for the development. An online feedback form is available here. The University will review all feedback and will take it into account before details are finalised and the detailed planning application submitted. The deadline for feedback is Monday 3 August 2015.

If you have any queries regarding the event please do not hesitate to contact the University at the following email address: public.consultation@admin.ox.ac.uk.
