HRH The Duke of Cambridge visited Oxford on 11 May to open the Blavatnik School of Government and the Weston Library.

Weston by I W Photographic The Library, which has undergone an £80 million transformation, is home to more than one million items from the Bodleian’s historic collections. His Royal Highness toured the special collections library and was shown a display of historic objects, including a key used by King George VI, the Duke’s great-grandfather,  to open what was then called the New Bodleian in 1946.

The Duke of Cambridge went on to visit the stunning new Blavatnik School of Government building, which has already received an award for architectural excellence from the Royal Institute of British Architects.
