VC opens Kellogg College Hub building

Following a visit by HRH Prince Charles last month, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Louise Richardson, has now officially opened Kellogg College’s new Hub building.

Providing a social centre at the heart of the college, with a common room and a café open to the local community, it is the first non-residential building in Oxford to be designed according to the Passivhaus approach, which produces heavily-insulated buildings that use an exceptionally small amount of energy while also being very comfortable.

The project is the culmination of a collaboration between Kellogg College and Estates Services Capital Projects and Environmental Sustainability teams.
