CSE success for Finance team

The Estates Services Finance team has become the latest part of the department to receive Customer Service Excellence (CSE) accreditation.

 The assessor praised the Head of Finance’s efforts to promote the team’s services to other parts of Estates Services, to explain financial jargon and processes, and to help them understand the principles of budgeting and accounting. He highlighted the team’s efforts to understand and engage with customers, identifying four areas of Compliance Plus, in which the team already exceeds the requirements of the CSE standard.

 These include its innovative approach to segmenting customers and understanding what makes for a successful interaction with them, and its flexible and professional response to requirements that arise at short notice - for example, the launch of the Science Transit Shuttle service.
