Additional Public Consultation Session: Osney Power Station

Following the poor weather conditions on 2 and 3 March we would like to hold an additional public consultation session to ensure as many of the local community as possible have an opportunity to feedback on proposals to redevelop Osney Power Station. The information will be the same as that shown on 2 and 3 March.

The building, in Arthur Street, is considered a Local Heritage Asset for its architectural interest with clear links to Oxford’s industrial past. Our aspiration is to bring this building back into active use through its conversion to an Executive Education centre for Saïd Business School.  This would provide short stay residential courses for company executives just a short walk from Oxford Station and the main business school in Park End Street.

Our vision is to regenerate and unlock the potential of the building to secure its long term future.

As part of the initial assessment work on the site, design proposals have been prepared, and we would now like to share these with local residents and key stakeholders. All feedback received will be taken into account in progressing the scheme.

Date / Time:   Wednesday 21 March 2018 from 4pm to 7pm

Venue:            Classroom 2, Thatcher Business Education Centre, Saïd Business School, OX1 1HP (Please enter via the reception opposite the railway station concourse)

Members of Saïd Business School, the University and the design team will be available to answer any queries you may have. We welcome feedback on the proposals prior to moving forward with the detailed redevelopment proposals for the site. A hardcopy feedback form will be available at the consultation sessions and an online version will follow on the University’s website together with an electronic version of the display information.

If unable to attend the public consultation, the proposal is set out in the consultation boards which can be accessed hereOsney Power Station public consultation boards - 02.03.18 (7,704kb) The online feedback form is available here.

Further consultation events will take place once the proposals have progressed and feedback has been sought from Oxford City Council.

If you have any queries regarding the event please do not hesitate to contact the School at the following email address: public.consultation@admin.ox.ac.uk.
