Adverse Weather plans

In light of the recent severe weather we would also like to advise you that the recently updated adverse weather plans belo. Gritting is undertaken by external contractors, and completed overnight. The decision as to whether or not to grit on any given night is based on expected temperatures, recent and prevailing atmospheric conditions and a visual survey of the areas in question by the gritting operatives once they get on site. We would like to make departments aware that there is a responsibility to maintain areas adjacent to their own doors and entrances.
