International Relations hosted the Dasturzada Dr. Jal Pavry lecture “The Return of Geopolitics?” on 27 May 2016.

Medical Sciences and MPLS hosted a joint conference on 29 June 2015, which showcased women in science. The lectures and panel discussion were recorded and the videos are currently being edited.  The recordings should be available online.

Law, Oxford Human Rights Hub, hosted two judicial conversations on the role of identity in the process of judging at apex courts. In May 2014 they hosted Justice Rosalie Abella from the Canada Supreme Court and Justice Susanne Baer from the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany. These two judges also gave a second seminar on the latest developments in equality and non-discrimination jurisprudence in their respective countries. In November 2014, they hosted Justice Mokgoro, the first black woman to sit on the Constitutional Court of South Africa again on the role of intersectional identities on judging.

Religions of the World: Anthropology hosted the Fundamentalism and World Religions Conference 15-17 September 2014 at Harris-Manchester College, which included two public lectures.
